AFICARE Autoclave Tape

This product is a chemical indicator tape for autoclave. The oblique stripes contain special heat-sensitive dyes, which will change from beige to gray-black under certain temperature, humidity and time. If the discoloration uneven or incomplete, it means that the package has not been sterilized according to the conditions. This product can be used as a fixed package, the dye is not easily damaged when exposed to water, and can be used for writing records, and the color is not easy to fade after sterilization.

Note: Do not use if product is found to be insufficiently sticky or not sticky.

HOW TO USE

• Autoclave Tape with Indicator

1. Wrap the tape around the package or item.

2. Place the item in the autoclave & run the sterilization cycle.

3. After the cycle, check if the tape’s indicator shows the desired change.

4. Record the sterilization details and indicator result.

5. If the indicator fails, take appropriate action based on facility protocols.

• Autoclave Tape without Indicator

1. Seal the package with autoclave tape across the opening.

2. Place the sealed package in the autoclave.

3. Run the recommended autoclave cycle.

4. Check the package for any damage or compromise.

5. Document the sterilization process.
